Janice Henson, Director of Embedding Inclusion
Janice Henson joined Equal Approach as Director of Embedding Inclusion in 2017, with the objective of building on Equal Approach’s success in developing and delivering global inclusion programs.
Janice has a wealth of experience within the recruitment industry and the inclusion arena, having enjoyed a commercially diverse career spanning over two decades. Her mantra seeks to embed inclusion and equality throughout organisations, and she is passionate about creating change and breaking down the various barriers usually associated with each of the different strands of diversity.
Prior to joining Equal Approach, Janice spent 18 months as the Head of Skills and Talent at Guidant Group, where she was instrumental in the organisation securing Disability Confident Leader (Level 3) Status. Previously Janice progressed through various roles at de Poel Group, including working as Managing Director of de Poel Community (previously called Placeability - a sister company to de Poel), Placeability Director, and Head of Placeability. While at de Poel Group Janice was recognised as a Regional Finalist for the Woman in Business Awards 2015 and she was highly commended for the Business Disability Forum’s Executive Disability Champion Award in 2015.
Janice’s background is in recruitment, having started her early career as a Recruitment Consultant in a UK top 5 High Street Agency, where she progressed to a Regional Manager role as a result of her hard work, dedication and commitment to getting people into work.

Ben Runcorn, Commercial and Marketing Manager
Ben is Equal Approach’s Commercial and Marketing Manager, and is responsible for a number of elements of the day to day operations of the business, along with managing and delivering all aspects of Equal Approach’s marketing function.
Ben joined Equal Approach as a graduate in 2013 having achieved a BA (Hons) in Marketing, Advertising & Communications, and has progressed through several increasingly senior marketing roles within the organisation as he has taken on more responsibility. A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) since 2014, Ben has recently completed his CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing, and has also achieved a Certificate in Equality and Diversity.

Jo Clay, Embedding Inclusion Manager
Jo is the Head of Inclusive Recruitment at Equal Approach. Jo is responsible for establishing, building and maintaining relationships with clients and diverse candidates, whilst managing inclusive recruitment operations.
Jo has achieved a BA (Hons) degree in Communications and a Postgraduate Certificate in Management, and she is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals.
Prior to joining Equal Approach, Jo previously held a number of senior roles within the recruitment industry, including as a Business Manager at Pertemps for over 11 years, where she was responsible for providing strategic leadership.

Sarah Sanders, Inclusive Talent Manager
Sarah is Inclusive Talent Manager at Equal Approach and works closely with Inclusive Talent Team in order to promote Reach - Equal Approach’s Inclusive Talent Portal, along with the organisation’s inclusive resourcing services.
Sarah has a wealth of experience in both the recruitment and the diversity and inclusion industry, which she has gained during her 15 years career. With experience of delivering to both public and private sector organisations, Sarah’s background spans across a broad cross-section of industries, including construction & highways, logistics, retail, utilities, finance and legal. Sarah’s key skills encompass recruitment and recruitment auditing, diversity and inclusion, training, investigative interviewing and business management expertise, along with the design and facilitation of client focus groups.
Prior to joining Equal Approach in 2017, Sarah has spent nearly two years as the Head of Client Services at The Clear Company where she worked as Project Manager for recruitment reviews to both public and private sector organisations, along with screening recruitment processes to identify barriers and supporting inclusive recruitment initiatives.
In her previous role, as Diversity and Inclusion Manager at de Poel Community, she was a driving force in developing bespoke and scalable inclusive recruitment programmes for organisations and also held roles as a CSR Account Manager at de Poel Community and as Recruitment Executive at Placeability (a sister company to de Poel).
Sarah has also been awarded Business Partner of the Year for The Mitie Foundation, a charity focused on creating employment opportunities for those with barriers to obtaining sustainable career opportunities.

June Scarbrough, National Account Manager
June is Equal Approach’s National Account Manager for Remploy, a long standing client which Equal Approach has held a sole supplier recruitment contract with since 2006. June is responsible for the provision of a seamless service to the business, and is located onsite in order to provide easy accessibility for Remploy colleagues.
Prior to joining Equal Approach, June previously worked as a headhunter at an executive search firm and also has a background in senior management and leadership roles, having worked in management level roles at Hibu (Yell Ltd) for over 13 years.

Natasha Broomfield-Reid, Embedding Inclusion Manager
Natasha is the Head of Development at Equal Approach, and is responsible for the design and delivery of a range of diversity & inclusion consultancy and training projects for clients across the private, public and third sectors, both in the UK and globally.
A qualified further education teacher, Natasha also holds a Higher National Diploma in Public Administration, a BA Hons in Community Management and a Diploma in Management.
Natasha has over 20 years’ experience working in diversity & inclusion, and her previous role was as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead for Victim Support, which she held for over 7 years. Natasha led Victim Support to achieve Stonewall Top 100 Employer status for 6 consecutive years, being the highest placed charity in 2016 (13th), and she also led Victim Support to be the first national charity to be awarded the 'Leaders in Diversity' accreditation from the National Centre for Diversity.
